Increased knowledge in school

Testimonial Increased knowledge in school. Three younger kids studying

Hi, Unique Mind ESP

I work as a teacher and special educator in primary school, and have participated at several courses with you. Now I want to tell you about a teaching session I had the other day. The reason I want to share the experience with you is that I know that you have a goal to bring the course’s thoughts, ideas and knowledge into schools. I fully support this.

Teaching session: how the brain works

The theme for the teaching session was “how the brain works”, and is part of teaching science in the 3rd grade. I had initially intended to stick to the “book”, and tell purely “technically” about the structure and function of the brain. However, I felt an urge the night before to change the plan a bit. We ended up talking about intuition, gut-feelings, right and left brain hemispheres, and how positive / negative thoughts affect the body and people around us. The students did an “exercise” where they were to think of something that irritated them (it actually got colder in the room, something a girl commented on), and then think of something fun, pleasurable and positive. Afterwards, we reflected on what felt best and gave the most energy. Many expressed thoughts about how they often feel gut-feelings when making choices or decisions, but that it is not always easy to follow this feeling. We also practiced taking deep breaths to make it easier to relax and stay focused. Now we often start a class in this way.

The students were very engaged, and thought the class was fun and exciting. Our school only has glass walls between the rooms, and in the middle of the class I noticed that some of the teachers and assistants in the next class were looking and following what was being said. Although I explained in a very simple way about only a very small part of what you in Unique Mind ESP convey in courses, I noticed that the little I said influenced the students to reflect on their own thoughts and feelings in a different way than I have experienced previously. I am sure that increased knowledge in school about how we function as human beings can promote learning, contribute to a better classroom environment and be an important factor in ending bullying.

As I see it, the topic should be included in the teaching plan that deals with the body and health / science.

Good luck. Keep up the good work:)

With best regards,
Berit
